Video Production Process: Introduction
Animated video production process can be a complex and daunting process for beginners. There are so many steps and factors to consider, from storyboarding and scripting to voiceover recording and animation.
In this guide, we will take you through the entire process step-by-step, so that you can create your very own animated video masterpiece!
Step#01
Goal Setting & Research
Goal setting and Research is the first stage of the Animated Video Production Process. In this stage, we usually ask you about your business needs and objectives. Why is it necessary, and how (and where) will you use it? What type of video do you want to make in the future?
We also try to figure out what type of animated video you need: an explainer video, an app demonstration or product video, or a screencast video to showcase your application walkthrough.
Our motion designers will ask you about your competition and what brands you look up to for their video marketing or online presentation. This will help us understand your needs and preferences better.
Before anything else, we make sure to understand what you want your video to achieve. This will be your North Star throughout the entire production process and will help ensure that everyone involved is on the same page. Once you have your goal, it’s time to do your research.
We segmentize your target audience, what kind of messaging will resonate with them, and what kind of style will best fit your brand. This research should inform the rest of your decisions as you move through the production process.
Animated videos are a powerful marketing tool, but only if they’re used correctly. By taking the time to set clear goals and doing your research up front, you’ll be much more likely to create a video that achieves the results you’re looking for.
Step#02
Scriptwriting For Animated Video
Scriptwriting is an essential part of the process. You can have amazing graphics or a perfect voice over, but if there isn’t a good script it won’t matter because your customer will feel unaddressed by what you’re saying in the video and thusly may not act upon any concern that they had previously brought up with regards to their problem/pain point when watching our work!
We love having client input during the pre-production stage – this allows them (and us!) to know better. We also make revision if needed.
Step#03
Storyboarding
After the script is written, it’s time for storyboarding! This step allows us to take the words on the page and bring them to life with pictures. We’ll plan out each scene of the video, including key visuals and transitions. This is a collaborative process – we always love hearing our client’s ideas and suggestions at this stage.
There are a few different styles of design that you can choose from, but for explainer videos, we typically recommend either whiteboard animation or explainer VIDEO. Whiteboard animation is exactly what it sounds like – someone drawing on a whiteboard (or sometimes just a blank screen). Explainer video is similar, but with more of a focus on characters and moving objects rather than drawings.
Step#04
Voice Over Recording
Now that we have a storyboard, it’s time to record the voice over for our animated video. We’ll work with you (or your chosen voice actor) to ensure that we capture the perfect tone for your next animated video.
Depending on the style of video you’re going for, this might be a fun & light-hearted recording, or something more serious. Either way, we want to make sure that the voice-over matches the visuals.
A good voiceover can make your video more engaging and memorable. To find the right voiceover artist for your project, you’ll need to consider the tone and style of your video. Once you’ve found the perfect voiceover artist, they will record the script and send it to you for approval.
Step#05
Animation Of The Video
This is where the magic happens! Our motion designers and animators take the storyboard and turn it into a beautiful, engaging video. This is a complex process andr requires complete attention, Our market competitive animator do their job efficiently and always start with a rough cut to get feedback from our clients. From there, we make revisions until the video is perfect. And then…it’s time to play with background music and sound effects.!

Step#06
Sound Design
Adding music and sound effects is an important step in the animated video production process. Music can help set the tone of your video and make it more enjoyable to watch. Sound effects can also add realism and depth to your animation. When choosing music and sound effects, be sure to consider the overall tone of your video. You don’t want to add music that will distract from your message.
Step#07
Video Editing & Final Touching
After your animation is complete and the music has been added, it’s time to edit your video. This is where you’ll put all the pieces of your video together and make sure everything flows smoothly. Editing can be a challenging process, but it’s important to take your time and get it right. After your video has been edited, you can add any final touches, such as titles and credits. Then, you’re ready to share your video with the world!
Step#08
Delivery Of The Final Animated Video
After your animation is complete and the music has been added, it’s time to edit your video. This is where you’ll put all the pieces of your video together and make sure everything flows smoothly. Editing can be a challenging process, but it’s important to take your time and get it right. After your video has been edited, you can add any final touches, such as titles and credits. Then, you’re ready to share your video with the world!
